A tree planting campaign was recently initiated by healthylifestyle.lk in collaboration with The Thinnai and Thinnai Organic. The campaign aims to plant 300 trees along the Jaffna, Palaly Road from Punnalaikkadduvan to Vasavilan. It is sponsored by healthylifestyle.lk, with the Thinnai group planting and maintaining the trees. The campaign was officially launched on July 05, 2020 with the participation of our Managing Director, General Manager of Thinnai Organic, Senior Resident Manager of The Thinnai, and other executives and staff. The saplings which are being planted are protected from grazing animals by a cage constructed around them. The cages are made using palmyra leaf stems to ensure they are biodegradable. The campaign is a part of the initiatives we are taking to make our environment greener and combat climate change. It is also meant to raise awareness among locals about the necessity of planting trees.
